The Start of My Spiritual Journey
I have always been a spiritual person. I believe we are all spiritual beings put on this earth to have a human experience. But beyond that, I have always known there was a higher power, something bigger than ourselves and something that is hard to describe in words.
I was raised in a Christian home. We went to church every Sunday…and truthfully, I drug my feet every time my parents turned our light on and told us it was time to get up and get ready to go to church. It was not my favorite place to be, something didn’t sit right in my gut with the entire “church going thing”. With that said, I always felt a spirit and something powerful when I was there, but still, I wasn’t convinced this was the best way to spend a Sunday.
The older I got, the more I saw individuals that claimed to be Christian, LDS, Catholic, etc., act one way during the week, and another on Sundays. It was hard for me to “follow” those who were judgmental and hypocritical. I know not all religious people are this way. I know and love many religious people who are very much amazing, loving, compassionate and nonjudgmental human beings. After all, we are all human, and all sinners. But, as I grew older and had more experiences, I realized that I didn’t have to sit in a building on a dedicated day of the week to have a relationship with God, and I could actually grow my spirituality on so many different levels through my own journey each and every moment of every day.
And so that is where I stand. I love all of the God’s and Goddesses and Angels and Spirit Guides. I am open to all things not of this realm that are good and loving and I seek guidance from them all, each and every day.
One of the ways I communicate with my Spirit Guides (God, Goddesses, Angels, Ancestors, and all of my guides not of the physical realm) is through Oracle Cards. It was almost 20 years ago that I was given my first deck. I had no idea what they were and how to use them, but over time I learned that they were more powerful and right than anything I had ever experienced.
It is no coincidence that the deck was given to me by my dear friends Wade and Jill. They have had such a spiritual and mentorship role in my life over the years and randomly one day they were inspired to give me an Angel Oracle Deck. That deck of cards is read by me more than any of the other 10-15 decks that I own. It is the only deck that travels with me everywhere I go. It has been to over 30 countries in this world and has answered hundreds of thousands of my questions over the years and has always reminded me that I am not alone, that God and my Angel Guides are with me and supporting me on this journey.
I would 10/10 recommend that everyone buy themselves an Oracle Deck of cards. They are easy to read and understand, and they are all things goodness and loving. That Angel deck is THE reason I am on the path I am today.
Since I am clearly wearing my heart on my sleeve and sharing the very fiber of my being, I want you all to know that I respect and honor all of your journeys. Whether you are atheist, or extremely religious, believe in ghosts and aliens, or believe the earth is flat, or only follow the cosmos, or you are democratic or republican, or a conspiracy theorist, or believe in all or none of the above. I see you. I hear you. And I look forward to holding a safe space for you someday to be your true authentic self as you explore your own spiritual journey.
